I think i must be not getting my lighting refined enough before moving into the texture overlay phase. I really appreciate the tip, and i'll keep checking back here for the Digital Masters books release.

Thanks again!
-WesWes.Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05168649047457647993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5902207110277132569.post-60692986863401020652011-12-09T09:50:44.534-08:002011-12-09T09:50:44.534-08:00Hey wes, thanks!

I'll let you know when its out.

But in the meantime I basically blocked in the basic large shapes with a large square brush, with the basic lighting scheme i had already established earlier in the piece. I then ovelayed textures which were warped into perspective on top of the block-in and then refined, refined, refined.Levihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06296216601904265960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5902207110277132569.post-27816116602858030852011-12-09T00:22:36.157-08:002011-12-09T00:22:36.157-08:00These are incredible. I was wondering, in the 2nd one down, how did you go about rendering out that architecture?

I've been trying to achieve a similar look using several overlay layers from a few images i have, but it feels so tedious. Do u usually light the whole scene first then texture it out?

Any tips on getting architecture looking like that just as far as workflow would be much appreciated and as always, thanks for posting! very inspirational stuff.

[edit] "Cinematic_Arises" is the name the one in particular i'm drooling over.Wes.Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05168649047457647993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5902207110277132569.post-5370523482888029192011-12-09T00:20:06.413-08:002011-12-09T00:20:06.413-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Wes.Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05168649047457647993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5902207110277132569.post-55231199849160992262011-10-10T17:08:56.410-07:002011-10-10T17:08:56.410-07:00So these were created specifically for the Cologne...So these were created specifically for the Cologne cinematic? I was under the impression that they were just a part of a bigger animated video (since the Cologne video cut to in-game footage even though the background music continued playing), like a game intro or something.
Anyway, awesome stuff.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5902207110277132569.post-3886820353963114552011-09-06T12:07:04.191-07:002011-09-06T12:07:04.191-07:00Thanks for the feedback everyone, much appreciated...Thanks for the feedback everyone, much appreciated!Levihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06296216601904265960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5902207110277132569.post-13654639895118011962011-09-04T06:55:08.627-07:002011-09-04T06:55:08.627-07:00All that stuff is pretty EPIC !All that stuff is pretty EPIC !Sylvain Decauxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03158169117112355207noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5902207110277132569.post-75908951500916729782011-08-27T02:52:18.198-07:002011-08-27T02:52:18.198-07:00WOW!
